A protective
formation is when a principal is surrounded by their protective
agents in a strategic pattern. There are several types of protective
formations that are deployed primarily according to the situation
and available manpower. Most
Executive Protection (EP) companies do not know these terms, nor
do they achieve these formations by default. These
formations
are the accepted standards of professional
EP companies, particularly those that operate and train their personnel
using United States Secret Service (USSS) methodology.

An
airspace waiver program has been developed by the Transportation
Security Administration (TSA) in which general aviation operators
will have the opportunity to request advance approval to fly
through restricted U.S. airspace. Seven days prior to the flight,
TSA will gather intelligence regarding the pilots, flight plan,
passengers and crew in order to conduct security screenings.
