| The World Protection Group uniformed Security Officers are ambassadors and representatives of the tenants and management of the facility, often serving as the primary interface between building occupants and visitors through the managing of perimeter security, access control, visitor management and security measures throughout the facility. These highly trained officers are typically the "first-responders" to incidents and emergencies on property. WPG's training program exceeds all state standards and requirements for screening and training. Every officer has the practical knowledge and skills to respond to any potential incident,-remove comma here including fire, bomb threats, workplace violence, terrorism and other criminal activity.
WPG Security Officers must complete a comprehensive criminal background check and drug testing program; they are required to actively participate and complete a 40 hour pre-assignment program in access control, arrest and control, criminal law and enforcement, evacuation, first-aid/CPR/AED, parking and traffic control, communications and workplace violence, as well as additional onsite training on post-orders and site specific operations. WPG Security Agents receive additional training, including certifications in pepper spray, batons (and firearms) if applicable. All Officers/Agents must also complete 8 hours of annual refresher training.
All WPG Security Officers/Agents are cross-trained for static and patrol posts and can be uniformed based on the location and level of deterrence necessary. Each Officer/Agent is supervised and managed onsite and through the corporate operational centers.
Each Security Officer/Agent is properly equipped to perform their security and safety role based on the risks and security procedures specified for the site.
